Director, Security
Engineering
SiteScout is seeking a seasoned security
professional with deep knowledge of malware behavior, characterization,
and mitigation to join in its mission to make the Web a safer place. As
director of security engineering, you will lead development of new
technology and product capabilities to detect and protect against
Web-based malware.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will combine 4+ years experience in a malware
research organization or related field with the demonstrated ability to
translate promising technology into shipping products. You should be
especially familiar with browser-based exploits, Windows internals, and
behavior-based malware characterization. This position requires
leadership and vision as well as hands-on assessment and coding.
Persuasive communication skills are also essential.
Details: This
is a full-time, on-site position located in Downtown Seattle.
Senior Developer
Are you an experienced software developer
who feels a burning desire to take ownership and ship successful
products, mastering a broad range of technical capabilities as
necessary to get the job done effectively? Do you strive to write
maintainable, scalable code that satisfies customer needs in a fluid
and fast-moving market? Do you have the capacity to think big yet still
sweat the details, and to communicate effectively both within a
technical team and with business stakeholders? Are you excited by the
opportunity to make the Web a better place?
SiteScout's mission is to make the Web safe
again. We're seeking a senior developer to join our team to help us
refine and extend our distributed software platform for proactively
identifying and protecting users from malware, exploits, and other
threats.
Qualifications:
We're looking for experienced candidates that have been through a
complete development lifecycle on at least two product releases. You
should have strong Perl skills and be able to write maintainable,
modular and/or OO Perl code. Solid experience in C, C++, and/or C# is
also a plus. You should be comfortable coding on and for both Windows
and Unix environments, and should have solid SQL and database
knowledge, though this is by no means your typical CRUD
database-development effort.
We prefer a bachelor's degree in computer
science or a related discipline or extensive industry experience.
Knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP, and other Internet protocols is also a plus.
Knowledge of Windows internals and experience in security or malware
analysis is also a major advantage, but most important is for you to be
smart and adaptable and get things done.
